Board of Directors

Scott Boles – Co-Founder

Scott is one of the co-founders of GETDOT and a huge believer in networking and the power it has to help people.  GETDOT was at first an idea bred from creating a vehicle to give our favorite contacts the ability to socialize in a fun, relaxed environment without the pressures of many other networking events.  After it continued to grow, philanthropy became the natural progression for the group and with the help of the GETDOT board (mostly Barb Letcher) we became a 501 C3 non-profit focused on helping kids charities.

Scott is the owner of Yabo’s Tacos in Westerville, Upper Arlington, and Powell with plans for more.  Scott spent over two decades in food service running four and five star hotels, restaurants, and resorts as Certified Executive Chef, and Director of Food and Beverage. Scott and his wife decided to move back from Florida (where he ran the executive dining for Disney) to Ohio to raise their children Kasie, and David.  He has been in Human Resource outsourcing sales for many years and only in the past few years has he returned to his roots in foodservice.

Chip Ramsey – Co-Founder

Chip Ramsey is one of the proud co-founders of the GETDOT Networking Group. Along with co-founder Scott Boles, GETDOT was founded on the idea to simply help others both personally and professionally, giving people the opportunity to develop business relationships and personal friendships while helping local children’s charities.Currently, Chip Ramsey is the Director of Sales at ScoutLogic, a very unique background check company. He has been in Business Development/Account Management/Sales role for the last 25 years. He is very well networked in the community and is a past president at Human Resources Association of Central Ohio (HRACO). He stays active participating in most sports and reffing travel soccer. Rine, owner of the independent insurance firm Buckeye Benefit Consulting here in Columbus, first entered the insurance business in January 1998 with Trustmark Insurance Company in Chicago, IL. He moved to Cleveland in 2001, taking a position with a large general agency, and ventured out on his own permanently in 2005, relocating his business to the Columbus market in 2007 to be closer to his family.

He grew up in Knox County, Ohio, and graduated from Mount Vernon Senior High in 1990, participating in extracurricular activities and helping other students with their studies. He finished both higher degrees with High Honors.

His hobbies include performing on stage as a solo/duo acoustic act or as part of the formal entertainment group Blood, Sweat & Beers (find them and Eric Rine Music online). He has been an active member of the nonprofit organization GETDOT since shortly after its inception and has been active with several other Ohio charities as well. Eric’s agency serves all of Ohio and specializes in everything from commercial/business accounts, group medical and supplemental benefits to personal auto/home/life and identity theft protection. The most rewarding part of what he does for GETDOT is seeing generous people from all of his different life and business ventures coming together to help the great causes we serve.

She also enjoys donating her time to provide tax and accounting work for several local charities here in Columbus.

Katie’s goal is to not only provide professional help through financial situations and tax filings, but also to provide comfort to all her clients. She wants them to know that she is there for them throughout the year to guide them for everyday financial decisions and questions.

Barbara Letcher – Legal

Barbara has been involved with GETDOT from the beginning and has enjoyed watching it grow from a casual happy hour to a fun group of generous people who have been able to make a difference in the lives of kids in Central Ohio. Barbara has always enjoyed meeting new people but never considered herself much of a “networker”. She loves GETDOT’s emphasis on relationship building.

In November, 2014, Barbara launched her own practice, Letcher Legal, LLC, and continues to provide assistance to clients dealing with human resources issues and compliance with state and federal labor and employment laws, as well as other issues related to their businesses. In addition to being active with GETDOT, she is VP of Government Affairs for the Human Resources Association of Central Ohio and Social Chair for the Stadium Scholarship Alumni Society.

Barbara is a proud alumnus of The Ohio State University where she earned both her undergraduate and law degrees. After hanging up her ballroom dancing shoes, she spends her free time reading and baking. She still plays a little tennis, too.

Rich Workman – Marketing/Media Chair

Rich has been forever fascinated with the way humans communicate. Some do very well and others, well, not so much. His desire is to help people communicate more effectively and therefore be better understood. He is really enjoying his current position with the highly creative group at DRM Productions. Their featured product is the Retriever Digital Signage System that is helping many companies communicate in a dynamic and relevant way.

Rich attended The Ohio State University but quite frankly, most of his education has come from dealing with many different types of people which is a result of occupying a variety of sales and leadership positions. On a recommendation of a fellow GETDOT member, he’s been attending and involved since March of 2011. He loves the high energy and genuine relationships that develop from our events.

Rich considers himself blessed well beyond what he deserves with two adopted children from Taiwan and one beautiful wife – Tami. His philosophy is simple – “You can get everything in life you want, if you help enough other people get what they want.”

Brooke Georgiton – Secretary

I am part of the Capitol Ohio Sales Team in Central Ohio, which is a Member of The EZ Referral Network, the #1 Referral Network in Ohio. We are currently ranked #4 in Keller Williams Nationally, and 15th in the United States by home sales!

As Ohio Wesleyan Grad, and former Columbus City School Teacher, I specialize in the purchase and sale of new and existing homes in Central Ohio. As a Homes for Heroes agent I also enjoy giving back to our local heroes, including teachers, firefighters, medical professionals, police officers, and the military (active and veterans).

Why I’m Different

Columbus, Ohio is my home, I have always lived and worked in the area and I have extensive knowledge of this amazing city, it’s neighborhoods, schools, attractions, and amenities. Providing my clients with an outstanding experience is my number one priority. I accomplish this by being available 24/7, utilizing the latest technology, and always having my client’s best interests at heart. Education is in my blood, and I educate my clients through every step of the process the buying and selling process.

I Believe In Giving Back

June 20, 1991 (I was 13) was my first day volunteering at COSI, Ohio’s Center of Science and Industry. Why is this significant? Volunteering and giving back is second nature for me. Since then I have given back to Habitat for Humanity, Second Chance Dalmatian Rescue, The Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church, The Faith Mission, Ohio Wesleyan University, Kappa Alpha Theta Fraternity, The Byron Saunders Foundation, and many more. Currently I serve on the board of GETDOT a local networking organization which benefits children’s charities, and I am the 2018 President of the Lewis Center Realty Association.

In my Free Time

I love to read, play softball, bike ride, and spend time with my 3 beautiful nieces Abby, Maggie and Katie.

Cam Jordan – Membership

Cam is a full-time Realtor with Keller Williams Excel Realty and is a part of the Capitol Ohio Sales Team, a member of the EZ Referral Network, the #1 Referral Network in Ohio. We are ranked #4 in Keller Williams nationally and 15th in the United States in home sales. Cam approaches real estate as a business and not a hobby. He believes that relationship building and customer service are the two most important characteristics in developing that “know, like and trust” concept of personalizing your business. He has 20 years experience delivering customer service.

Serving all of Central Ohio north to Richland county and surrounding counties Cam buys and sells single family homes, rural homes, land, investment properties (multifamily homes up to 4 units), multi-generational homes (in-law suites, in-law apartments, etc.), luxury homes, new builds, 2nd homes and light commercial real estate.

Cam is the proud father of one daughter and enjoys spending time with his three very active grandsons and family.

Michelle Merz – Networking Relations

Michelle graduated first with a degree in forensic chemistry, but went on to find success in building brand strategies and designs for startup companies. To obtain more knowledge in the field, she went back to school to earn another degree in interactive media design. From there, she started her own graphic design and branding company. With nine years of experience and a complementary degree in interactive media design, she has created works for an array of individuals, companies, and organizations. She is obsessed with meshing qualitative research and aesthetic design. The challenge of integrating the psychology of design and marketing, user friendliness, and creativity to produce designs that are both memorable and effective is something she thrives on.

She became active in the volunteer world when she began donating graphic design assistance for nonprofits who didn’t have the budget to spend on key design elements they needed to effectively spread the word about their organizations and events. When she decided that being behind the scenes wasn’t enough, she started hands on volunteering with the groups as well.

In her spare time, Michelle can be found drinking copious amounts of coffee, playing sports, sitting around a campfire, spending time with her two children, and seeking out the best tacos and beers.

Trey Kauffman – Communications/Web

For years Trey pushed back against the constant reminders he was born into the dreaded coveted millennial generation. Yet time and time again, as he soaked in the knowledge offered to him by mentors and supervisors, he noticed a consistent pattern evolving: The value of a well-grounded relationship far outweighed that of a one-time sale.

Trey’s focus through his more than 10 years of marketing and sales experience has been to become as valuable an asset to his company and peers as possible. That focus was easily translated into his own ventures after realizing he would never find the type of satisfaction and fulfillment he wanted working in the corporate world. His resolution quickly became to bring his dedication and business ethics to life through his company—Slantics Advertising.
