Member Spotlight – Frank Glover

Q: Tell us about yourself!

A: Hi , Frank Glover, Owner/Lead Inspector for Inspect My Home Property Inspections. Locally owned full-service inspector for new and used homes; helping my clients get to know their new home. Not a Columbus native but after 25 years I think that’s pretty close. Two sons that became Eagle Scouts then graduated from Hilliard, on to graduate from OSU. Needless to say, I became a Buckeye Fan along the way. My significant other is the one that encouraged me to use my skills and experience to start my own business, without her support I would probably still be in the corporate world. Meet me at the next event to learn more.

Q: Why did you join GETDOT as a member? How did you hear about us?

A: I joined GETDOT to get out and meet people and make some new friends. At the time I wasn’t looking to network for business. Some friends that I met told me about GETDOT and it sounded like a great group of people to get out and socialize with. Hard to believe that has been about 5 years now. The first few years I did not attend as consistently but running your own business is a great reason to get out, be more active, and meet people.

Q: When you’re not working, how do you like to spend your time?

A: Motorcycling, Reading, Love movies, hiking, (just got back from Acadia National Park, Beautiful) and after moving last year, I foresee several additional home improvement/remodeling projects.

Q: If you could have dinner with anyone dead or alive, who would it be and why?

A: Warren Buffett . Maybe he could give me some investment advice. He seems to have done alright.

Q: For what are you most grateful?

A: I am most grateful for my family, my health, and still having hair.

Q: What networking advice do you have for GETDOT members?

A: Get out and meet someone new. Its easier to hang out with the people you already know but that’s not networking. Also, don’t focus on finding people that would most help you right now but who can you help. It’s about building relationships. I always like to be able answer my client’s with, “Yea, I know a guy”
