HERO USA: A Closer Look for 2018

The GETDOT community is slated to congregate once again on February 8 at Barley’s Brewing Company. We’ll be there to network AND support HERO USA!

The program is aimed at children in our community who are facing social, physical, and economic obstacles.

Perhaps you know some in your own neighborhood. Maybe through family, work, or a variety of other avenues. Let them know about this important opportunity!

The program teaches participants basic skills and safe practices for using equipment and participating in recreational activities like canoeing, kayaking, wakeboarding, skateboarding, skiing, and snowboarding,

It ultimately provides these kids a safe, sanctioned space to exercise, socialize, and develop lifelong skills.

HERO USA works closely with officials from partnering cities, including Columbus, Dublin, New Albany, Gahanna, and Delaware. The non-profit also works with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of Central Ohio, Gladden Community House, Boys & Girls Clubs of Columbus, and the Disability Resource Network.

And you can get involved! Help these kids by either donating (as you’ll have the chance to do at our next event), volunteering, or participating in events!

Be sure to find Michael Bain at our February 8th event and ask how you can make an impact on the lives of these children!

More details can also be found by going to www.HeroUSA.org, emailing info@herousa.org, or calling 614-595-1777.

We’ll see you soon!
